The first 2-day workshop planned and organized within FF-IPM’s Work Package 5 was delivered in Croatia. This first meeting aimed at discussing stakeholders needs and expectations regarding pest forecast and alert systems.
The goal of these workshops (8 in total over the Project’s course) is to launch direct consultation with pest surveillance implementers in order to better understand the challenges of their decision making processes but also as an opportunity to explain how research within the project aims to offer solutions applying effective tools and techniques and providing them with timely information.
The workshop was held on December 4, 2019, in the University libraries multimedia Hall of the University of Split. Participating FF-IPM consortium experts were joined by the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food – Plant Protection Center, the Department of Agriculture – Advisory Service, Phytosanitary inspection, MZOE – Institute for Environmental and Nature Protection of the Radic Brothers School and scientists from the University of Split.
