The second series of workshops dedicated to stakeholders started from Greece. In the beautiful scenery of Agios Nikolaos of Naoussa, in the Central Macedonia region of Greece, FF-IPM presented the e-trapping system via lectures and hands-on executions. More than 20 stakeholders of the Central Macedonia region were present, COVID-19 restrictions did not allow for more. Among the participants were producers, agronomists, and executives from companies and cooperatives of fruit standardization and trade. Inside the prototype farm of Agios Nikolaos, the participants walked along prof. Nikos Papadopoulos, Prof. David Nestel, Mr. Vasilis Rodovitis and others and they watched how the e-traps are placed in the field, how they collect data and watch the population of the fruit flies and furthermore how they can help us recognize different species of fruit flies.
The lectures were complementary to the hands-on experience so to give to the participants the whole image of what is FF-IPM and how it will help the agro/horticultural sector.
