An article by Kapranas A, Chronopoulou A, Lytra I, Papachristos D, Milonas P. (BPI team) was published in Georgia-Ktinotrofia 7/2020

“Biological control of Mediterranean fruit fly with entomopathogenic nematodes”.

In this article an overview of the biology of Insect Pathogenic nematodes (EPN) and their use in the biological control of the Mediterranean Fly Ceratitis capitata (MM) is presented. Then we develop a new implementation strategy commercially available NSAIDs outside the growing season which aims to reduce overwintering larvae of MM. We also present the development of new formulations that contribute to increase residual action and consequently to greater efficiency of EPN against MM.
The article was publised in greek language.
