Professor Nikolaos T. Papadopoulos visited the Landwirtschaftliches Technologiezentrum (LTZ) Augustenberg in Karlsruhe Germany last week and met with the scientific committee of LTZ to discuss aspects related to invasive pests in Europe. He presented the concept – approaches of the FF-IPM project and informed LTZ about its last developments.
LTZ presented its work on other invasive pests like the brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys) and discussed with Prof. Papadopoulos possible advances and
venues of collaboration on the biology and management of this invasive pest.
In the field of cooperation, LTZ and FF-IPM decided that LTZ could participate in some activities of the FF-IPM regarding medfly dispersion in cooler areas of Europe and share knowledge and expertise with FF-IPM.
